You Syphilitic Mindless Bunch Of...... I don't think I should end this sentence..... It is how the amazing and wonderful Michael Gambon addressed a minibus full of actors at 5.45 one morning in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
When I agreed to do the movie Squanto, it was because of Michael being in it. I really wanted to work with him. Up to that point I had been very lucky and worked with some greats, Olivier, Hoffman and others, but my parents had never said this about them.... "You'll learn a lot from Michael." They meant his extraordinary turn of phrase. My god, could he cuss!!!! Great fun too, and a magician in front of an audience or a camera. He will be sorely missed. A GIANT !!!!
